Thank you Union City First volunteers for making UC a cleaner community

Dear Editor:

This past Saturday, 47 volunteers from Union City First, our political organization, helped clean some of the dirtiest streets in Union City. Together, we swept from 15th Street and Bergenline Avenue up to 4th Street and Central Avenue.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who devoted their time to clean the streets of Union City. I also want to thank all of the residents who came out and either offered us juice and water, or even came along to help. It feels good to see the people of Union City coming together for a common purpose, the betterment of our community.

I urge anyone who would like to volunteer to meet us every Saturday in front of the United States Post Office located on 30th Street between Palisade and New York Avenues in Union City.

Mayor
