Thank you all for making these wonderful events memorable

Dear Editor:

This past weekend we held our 35th Anniversary of the raising of the Puerto Rican flag in City Hall, the 4th Luncheon for the seniors at the Multi Service Center (thank you Vinnie, as always you are special) and our 8th Annual Puerto Rican International Festival. All those who attended will agree with me they were wonderful events.

On behalf of the Puerto Rican Cultural Committee of Hoboken, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to all those who helped to make these events a huge success.

The City of Hoboken, “Hoboken’s Finest,” and the Hoboken Fire Department, for their great cooperation.

All the City Directors and especially, Tim Calligy, Director of Environmental Services (no one can fill your shoes).

To all the sponsors whose contributions allowed us to accomplish our goal and award scholarships to our graduating recipients: Rosangela Bencosme, Maria D. Emanuelli, Barbie L. Roman and Doralee Torres. Congratulations graduates!

To all the vendors who contributed all the delicious food and wonderful arts and crafts. To the guys from Union City, George and Eduardo, “Gracias.”

To Hudson County for the use of the mobile stage.

To the Supers and Maintenance Staff of Applied Housing for being there with me all the time, including the car wash. And last but not least, thank you to Richard Aviles and Raul Morales II for contributing their time and effort in making the flyers and programs.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Raul Morales, President
Puerto Rican Cultural Committee
