Looney for Noone
Why do Peter Noone fans call themselves "Noonatics?" I don’t get it. – Kimmi, Hoboken
Noonatic is pronounced like lunatic; so they’re loony for Noone.
Finally!
I totally agree with JoAnne Steglitz ("Current View: Crossing Jordan," Sept. 27). Crossing Jordan is a piece of crap. And it’s too bad. Because that Jill Hennessy is a real hottie! – Gerald, Hoboken
JoAnne Steglitz responds: Finally, a reader with some taste.
BOO!
I can’t decide what I want to be for Halloween this year. Does anyone at the Current have any suggestion for a petite twenty-something? – Jessica, Jersey City
Have you considered a Smurf? I prefer Sleepy Smurf.
That’s offensive
I read the essay last week about the "For Dummies" books. I know it’s not your fault, but I think that whole line of books is offensive to people who are deaf and dumb. "Dumb" and "stupid" do not mean the same thing, and I’m surprised they get away with it. – R.F.
