Dear Editor:
As a concerned resident of the Fourth Ward, I wanted to write a letter urging all registered voters to get out and vote. Although I don’t want to try and persuade you who to vote for by naming names, I think it is important for everyone to think about what we need for this community.
We the residents of the Fourth Ward need someone who will be sensitive to the needs of our diverse community. (Vote 10A). We need someone who can represent the young professionals and homeowners in our community. (Vote 10A). Someone who cares about reforming the housing authority and holding our commissioners accountable to the residents. (Vote 10A). Someone who want to do the right thing for our senior citizens. (Vote 10A). I hope the person we elect brings fresh ideas to the table, not the same stale suggestions to new and complicated problems (vote 10A).
We need someone who is going to work together with our new Mayor and City Council that we overwhelming elected in May (Vote 10A). Someone who doesn’t want this position because they didn’t get a job, or a raise but someone who genuinely cares about the whole community. (Vote 10A). Therefore, without naming names I hope we consider that there is only one real candidate that can represent the best of the entire Fourth Ward, and on November 6 vote to make sure this candidate wins.
Fourth Ward resident
