Dear Editor:
All New Jerseyans expect Democrats in Democratic-controlled Jersey City to vote for and elect a Democratic mayoral candidate. It’s been happening in Jersey City for generations.
But when a Republican mayoral candidate is elected by a landslide not just once, but twice, in Democratic-controlled Jersey City, that’s big, big news. Well such a twice-elected Jersey City former mayor is none other than New Jersey Republican gubernatorial candidate, Bret Schundler.
Which brings me to my next point.
One evening a couple of weeks ago, I heard Bret talk for 45 minutes discussing his past record and what he wants to do for New Jersey if elected governor.
He so impressed me that I decided right then and there to volunteer to actively campaign for him because he, Bret Schundler, would be good for New Jersey as governor.
For me it’s the man, his past performance in office and his character and integrity. Not party affiliation or special interests, but the man himself.
For Republicans, the vote is simple.
For Democrats, vote for the man, Republican Bret Schundler for governor, and vote Democratic for other local and county office.
