Wall Street brokers should not be Social Security administrators

Dear Editor:

The campaign to privatize Social Security is a conscious effort to destroy the system. Lies and misinformation are put forward to confuse people. From the seats of power in Washington, proposals are being put forward to turn Social Security over to Wall Street and their stock brokers. The commission appointed by President George Bush is packed with enemies of Social Security.

Question? Is it possible to believe that the wealthiest nation in human history does not have the financial means to properly take care of all its people, both old and young?

What is at stake here? The greatest and most successful peoples program in American history. Don’t let the powerful destroy Social Security. Speak up! Write to all public officials. Stop the destroyers!
