North Bergen mayor ko’s night meetings

Dear Editor:

Mayor, State Senator, Assistant Superintendent, Co-Chairman of the Transportation Committee, Member of the Board of Law and Public Safety Nicholas J. Sacco refuses to hold town meetings at night for the Residents of North Bergen. There are many issues and concerns that we, as residents would like to address in town meetings. Unfortunately, due to the time constraints of a 9 to 5 job, it is close to impossible to attend a meeting without the loss of a days pay.

When asked for a reason why, the Mayor remains silent. A petition was circulated and over 150 signatures of registered voters were accumulated, requesting that the Mayor hold night meetings. However, the Mayor still does not act upon his constituents requests. He calls anyone with an opposing opinion a critic. The people of North Bergen call it the responsibility of our elected officials to address our concerns. Why is he avoiding the people of North Bergen? What is the Mayor trying to hide? Why won’t he give us an explanation? If you share the same concerns please contact me at 201-923-3310 so we can solve this problem together.
