Dear Editor:
As your First Ward Councilperson and a neighbor, I have been asking the same questions regarding the traffic lights between 3rd and 4th at River Street. Here is the information so far:
I called a meeting with representatives from PSE&G and the Port Authority on Monday June 17, 2002. The focus was to get the traffic lights operational ASAP. We were able to solve some problems and if all goes according to schedule, barring any unforeseen occurrence, the lights should be in working order by August 1.
I will keep you appraised of the latest developments as they unfold. I have other proposals for that area and I would like the opportunity to share my intentions and would value your input. I can be reached at (201) 798-1962.
