Dear Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the police officers and detectives of the Union City Police Department and the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor for the fine job they did in the investigation of the arson fires in Union City and the subsequent arrests of three suspects.
Prosecutor Fred Theemling, Union City Police Captain Brian Barrett, Lt. Richard Molinari, Sgt. Mark Julve, and Detectives Raymond McCool, Jose Martinez, and Jose Diaz, and many other police officers who worked on this case for six months, some on their own time, all deserve our community’s gratitude for not only putting an end to these suspects’ alleged malicious actions, but for putting our community, finally, at ease.
An excellent job was performed by all.
