Dear Editor:
I am pleased and gratified to say Ground Zero will be rebuilt because it is a feeling of sadness to see the pain in your heart, with the terrorist attack on America. One must understand we cannot allow ourselves to be swept into a vortex. Because evil you don’t ignore. It becomes real and heartbreaking. It hurts the mind with physical pain. As Americans we must show the rest of the world we are loyal people. We remember the freedom from terrorism that we lost, and we will work to see that such terrorism will never happen again. Because we are a country of the brave and home of the free. We will achieve our goals. We need the truth from our politicians.
Mayor Cunningham was a great help with the September 11 tragedy of the World Trade Center. He and his administration were clearly concerned about the disaster and all this happened on his watch. This was a devastating sight and unbelievable because the enemy won by destroying the W.T.C. but the light will shine again and Ground Zero will come back because we have the strength and endurance to implement our solutions.
As senior citizens we are proud to be American. We can celebrate our success and vision because this carries a meaning of our voice to speak the truth and grassroots of the most reliable voting group.
I pray for peace and walk closely with God. I am one of the lucky soldiers to come home! We as Americans must destroy the enemy and remember what we lost! Thank you and God Bless America
Louis V. Saliceti
Mayor’s Commissioner on Senior Affairs
