Thanks to all who made our Summer Enchanted Evenings series such a success

Dear Editor:

It certainly was a busy summer filled with plenty of exciting cultural activities. On behalf of the City of Hoboken and our Mayor David Roberts, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful and generous sponsors who helped support the Summer Enchanted Evenings series this past summer. The events included our Summer Concert Series which took place every Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Frank Sinatra Park and Shipyard Park, Movies Under the Stars, Arts in the Park which was expanded from eight weeks last year to 12 weeks, Shakespeare in the Park and Tango on the Hudson. (Thanks to the Hudson Shakespeare Co. and Amy Valent for sponsoring, organizing and making these events possible week after week).

A special thanks to our major financial supporters including: The Applied Companies, Bon Secours & Canterbury Partnership for Care, The Hudson County Division of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, Projected Images of Hudson County, Provident Savings Bank, Frank Raia, Rose International, Inc., St. Mary Hospital, Stevens Institute of Technology and The Systems Group.

And a big round of applause to our other local sponsors: Battaglia’s Housewares & Home Furnishings, The Burgiss Group, Chaitanya Stress Management Center, Charrito’s Mexican Restaurant, The Gaslight, the Guitar Bar, Haven Savings Bank, The Hoboken Chamber of Commerce, The Hoboken Reporter and the Hudson Current, John Muller & Son & Daughter Insurance, Louis Picardo and the Lyric Office Building, Singleton/Galmann Real Estate, Councilperson-at-Large Tony Soares, A Space Station, Tunes New & Used CDS, The Tux Shop and Willie McBrides.

Most of these businesses have helped us year after year. These events could not have taken place without their support. We are very grateful for their sponsorship and ask that you support these businesses with your patronage.

We also want to thank the many performers who shared their talents with us this summer and the technical crew who worked so hard behind the scenes. A good time was had by all, and we hope to see you again next summer…but the fun does not stop there. We hope that you will join us on Sunday, Sept. 29 for the Hoboken Arts & Music Festival. If you need further information or wish to volunteer, please call my office at 201-420-2207.
