Autumn in the air What local residents are doing in the fall

The Reporter recently walked around to ask residents from various towns: about their feelings about change in seasons. Here’s what they said:

Amin Jijn
North Bergen
“I like the trees and the yellow colors. I’m going to visit Turkey this fall.”

Jackie & Mike Howell
North Bergen
“We moved to the area recently and want to take the time to settle down. Autumn is not too cold and not too hot. Work always keeps us busy. Growing up, we used to play in piles of leaves during the fall.”

John Flores
North Bergen
“Traveling and going out more. In the fall I like to focus on school.”

Shari Pople with David
Weehawken
“I like the foliage. I also go skiing in the fall. It’s beautiful to watch the seasons change because it’s a sign of good things to happen. We like to spend Thanksgiving with the family.”

Umit Kuan
West New York
“I go to school, so I want to study and get better grades. The fall is a time to think and be at peace with yourself.”

Leo Coleman
Weehawken
“The weather is beautiful. The leaves change and the air is crisp. I like when the leaves fall on the ground. I just moved to the area and I work a lot.”

Tracy Smith
Union City
“The fall is a time to be with family. Thanksgiving always brings out the best in people and I have my birthday in October. I want to travel more now. After Sept. 11, I realized that I better do things I always wanted to. I want to go to the tropics in the fall.”

“Hang out and go to school. We really don’t have that many plans for the fall.”
