Thank you for helping to raise funds for the Jubilee Family Life Center

Dear Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mayor David Roberts, Senator Bernard Kenny, Special Assistant to the Mayor Suzanne Hetman and Hoboken’s Business Administrator Robert Drasheff for organizing and hosting a reception at Amanda’s Restaurant to raise funds for the Jubilee Family Life Center All Saints Community Service and Development Corporation is building across the street from Hoboken’s public housing complex to provide a safe-haven for public housing children in their own neighborhood. This event raised a much-needed $24,500 towards construction costs for the building at a time when we are scrambling to prepare to meet our financial obligations upon the conversion of the construction loan into a permanent mortgage.

The Mayor, Senator Kenny and their staffs have demonstrated time and again their personal as well as public commitment to this project and have gone that extra mile on All Saints CSDC’s behalf to help make this dream come true. We are very grateful to them and to the many developers, local business owners, political leaders and civic minded citizens of this city who have supported us in so many ways; by attending the reception, sponsoring public housing children to go to summer camp, providing Christmas presents and birthday gifts for our children, tutoring, purchasing pavers for the Center’s walk way, I could go on…

All Saints CSDC is truly blessed to serve such a wonderful city.

Best wishes,

Laurie Jean Wurm
ASCSDC Director
