Dear Editor:
It is with a great deal of pleasure and pride I write to praise County Executive Tom DeGise. Not only is he a man of good character, but also he has proven to be a man of his word.
Tom promised to form a Hudson County Board of Ethics and he has. He promised to review the pending Sheriff’s Officers contract and get it passed and he did. He said he would manage a more taxpayer-friendly government open to all that need his help and he has.
I am proud of Tom and his early accomplishments even though he was thrust into the job without the traditional 60 plus days to work on a transition.
I am proud I support Tom for Mayor in 2001 and County Executive in 2002. I will be even more pleased to endorse Tom and the entire Hudson County Democratic Organization ticket this year.
