In one of the recent editions of the Reporter, an article appeared regarding the pending retirement of Chief Edward Flood of the North Hudson Regional Fire Department.
The paper states that Chief Flood was the first-ever Chief of the North Hudson Regional Department. This was an erroneous statement.
The true facts are as follows: Chief Anthony Presutti and Chief Robert Jones were sworn in on January 4, 1999 as the first Chiefs of the new Regionalized Department and served until November 1, 2000.
The person who gave this information to your newspaper should have had the correct information before giving this incorrect statement to your paper.
