Dear Editor:
I don’t want a free turkey, a bus ride to a party, a pre-election hot dog, $50, someone to fill out an absentee ballot for me or a job for a family member.
Instead, I want a councilman who is independent, intelligent and honest, someone with enough insight and courage to scrutinize budgets and policies and fight for what is right and in the best interest of the citizens of Hoboken. In the 4th Ward that is Tony Soares.
I have known Tony Soares since 1994, when we met while participating in a neighborhood organization. Tony works for an internationally renowned company and develops projects for large international corporations. Tony is not just a smart and creative person, he is an extraordinary man. His dedication to public service is remarkable for its intensity, generosity and selflessness. We are lucky to have him in Hoboken. I hope that voters in the 4th Ward who care about pedestrian safety, recreation, flooding, our kids and schools, taxes, traffic and yes, parking, will join me in voting for Tony Soares.
Sincerely,
Scott Madison
