Dear Editor:
Hoboken is a dynamic town and the spirit of that energy was in full force last weekend as we celebrated the Hoboken Fall Arts and Music Festival. As the event director I feel a great sense of pride as some 50,000 spectators attended but, of course, it took many to make the Festival a success.
Firstly, I would like to thank Mayor David Roberts for his support and encouragement and for the foresight years ago as a City Councilman to champion this extremely popular biannual event.
I would also like to thank Chief LaBruno and the police department for their assistance, the Director of Human Services Carmelo G. Garcia, Director of Environmental Services Cassandra Wilday and members of her staff, Joe Peluso, Joey Bucino, John Colgrove, Ricky Repetti and members of their divisions, as well as the numerous city employees who volunteered their time.
I would like to thank all the volunteers who worked diligently over the past months helping with all of the many small details and assisting with day-of-event logistics, including my two assistants, Nina Melechen and Elena Skye who worked many late nights with me. I would also like to thank the performers and participants who made last weekend one of the highlight events of the year.

The spring and fall festivals are truly unique to Hoboken and make our community a destination for ten of thousands of visitors. I look forward to seeing you all again next spring!
