Hoboken is a great place to live!

Dear Editor:

Although this is a letter to the mayor I would like you to print it for your readers.

A few weeks ago I wrote to the mayor with a concern about the “Yield to Pedestrian” sign placed at 3rd and Hudson Streets being blocked by illegally parked cars. I would like to thank Mr. Roberts very much for taking a quick response to this issue. By placing an additional sign this is a lot clearer for drivers to see and also blocks any cars from parking on the white lines which basically obliterated the first sign and the view of oncoming cars to pedestrians. I know this has been a concern of my neighbors, and I am sure they are also very happy with this change — except for the ones that used to park there!

I would also like to thank everyone who made the summer activities possible. My two year old daughter and I enjoyed “Art in the Park,” Tuesday evenings at The Shipyard, musical events at Sinatra Park and Church Square Park and swimming at Hoboken High School. There always seemed to be some activity or event for us to enjoy and all of them for free!

This town definitely has some problematic issues but these far outweigh what a great place Hoboken is to live.

Thank you,
