Dear Editor:
The Trustees of the Weehawken Environment Committee urge citizens to exercise their right to vote on Election Day, November 4th and vote “Yes” on Public Question #4. If approved, Hudson County will establish an Open Space, Recreation and Historic Preservation Trust Fund.
The Trust Fund can be used to acquire open space and to improve existing park and recreation facilities and to help acquire and preserve historic landmarks. In a county as heavily populated and developed as Hudson County, a “Yes” vote to create this Trust Fund is a way for citizens to better our environment and improve our quality of life.
