A self-proclaimed anti-pop rock group from Oregon will make a stop in Jersey City to blast the amps at Uncle Joe’s. The Planet The, in support of their new album Physical Angel, takes the stage at the small rock venue on Nov. 8 at 9 p.m.
Their music is dance punk prog for the injured and the infirm. Spastic and fractured one moment, mechanistic and pummeling the next, the tightly-coiled bipolar sounds of the trio revisits music by Liquid Liquid, This Heat, and Braniac. Led by guitarist and singer Charles Salas, he is supported by Dave Huebner on keyboards, and Charles Francis Matze III on drums. Throughout October and in November, the band would have toured the country performing more than two dozen dates. Stay ahead of the current music scene by getting into The Planet The’s angst message. We recently caught up with Salas.
