Thank you for printing my poems…

Dear Editor:

Thanks for the comments on the poetry “My Old Familiar Faces.” First of all I apologize to the editor and readers for the typical grammar mistake lapsed through my oversight.

I do not claim to be a great poet. However, the poem is written in good faith in the memory and sympathy of the victims of 9/11. The essence of the poem is feelings rather than words. It is a tribute.

I have read English poets like Wordsworth, Lord Tennyson and Shelley. I have also read great philosophers like Gandhi and Tagore (Nobel Prize winner). As per their opinion the language of the literature may be simple so that a common man in the street or a peasant on the farm can enjoy.

If somebody finds the poem abnormal she may. Even though I am happy that she enjoyed the poem in either way.

I also thank Cynthia Dyson who realized the sentiments of a poet and poetry.

Conclusively, I am grateful to the editor who published my two dozen of poems and encouraged me to serve the community.

Thanks.

Sincerely yours,
Ken Patel
