Dear Editor:
On behalf of Michael Stine and his family, I would like to thank all of the truly generous businesses and individuals that contributed through sponsorship or participation in the “2nd Annual Michael Stine Benefit Golf Tournament” held on October 4th at Shepherd Hills Golf Course in Wescoesville, PA.
The event was quite successful. We had over 120 golfers for the tournament and an additional 25 people attended the buffet dinner afterward. There were a total of 13 hole sponsors and about 88 sponsor signs. Even the weather cooperated enough to keep the tournament from being a wash-out.
The generous contributions of money, prizes and gifts were a tremendous part of the success, but, we couldn’t have done it without the individual participation of all who attended.
The funds raised will continue to help offset the cost for the numerous trips to Philadelphia for medical treatment as well as eventually paying for the much needed medical insurance coverage. It is with the help of caring people such as those that turned out for this event that we will be able to achieve this goal.
