Go Army! Gaslight hosts college football trip Nov. 15

For the second straight year, the Gaslight Restaurant will take a trip to a trip to West Point, N.Y. to watch the United States Military Academy’s football team battle it out with the University of Houston on Nov. 15.

There will be a breakfast buffet at 8:30 a.m., and the bus leaves immediately after that. The daylong event will include a ride in a luxury bus, a ticket to the game, a tailgate party and a two-hour open bar at the restaurant from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

"You don’t want to miss this one," said Claude Persico, the restaurant’s co-owner. "We are providing excellent service to our patrons and taking them to watch an exciting football game."

The event will be the Gaslight’s second annual college football tailgate party. Last year, more than two dozen people went on the trip to watch Army play at Michie Stadium on the campus at 600 Thayer Rd. in West Point.

"We have good seats. This is 12 hours of food, fun and drinks" said co-owner John Martello. "Enjoy college football Gaslight style."

When the game is over, patrons will ride back to the mile-square city and enjoy an open bar with friends. The event is $150 for men, and $125 for women. The fast-selling tickets can be purchased at the restaurant, or by calling the bar. People can provide a 50 percent non-refundable deposit to secure a spot for the trip.

The Gaslight Restaurant and Bar has one of downtown Hoboken’s most exciting bar scenes. It’s located on the corner of Adams and Fourth streets. Patrons enjoy the Gaslight for the cool crowds, attentive service, and amazing entrees. Tuesdays, the venue features Team Trivia, a quiz game that offers prizes and the chance to win tickets for a dinner cruise. And every Wednesday night is ladies’ night.

The Gaslight is open seven days a week. Lunch is served Thursdays and Fridays, catering is available on and off premises, and they offer brunch on the weekends. For more information call (201) 217-1400 or visit www.gaslightnj.com. q
