Dear Editor:
I feel greatly honored to have been selected to serve as Director of the Department of Environmental Services, and I would like to thank Mayor David Roberts for his confidence in my abilities to face the many challenges that this position entails.
I look forward to serving the people of this great city as Director of a department I have worked in for the past 33 years. I am proud to be only the second Environmental Service/Public Works Director who has worked his way up the ranks. I would like to acknowledge the first, Roy Haack, probably one of the best, who was promoted to the title by former Mayor Patrick Pasculli.
Mayor Roberts, like Mayor Pasculli, should be commended for having the confidence to promote a career department employee to the title of Director. Thanks to Mayor Roberts and the City Council, and again, I look forward to serving the residents of Hoboken.
