FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK – If you tuned into VH1’s 100 Most Metal Moments this week, you might have seen Jersey City’s John Ostrosky, shown here in full alien makeup and costume as John Ostronomy. Ostrosky, who works for VH1 and MTV Networks, is a guitarist who performs in character as Ostronomy.In Metal Moments, he comments on KISS guitarist Ace Frehley’s 1976 on-stage electrocution, as well as Frehley’s 2002 UFO encounter. Ostronomy and his collaborator Captain T are in the studio recording a space-rock version of the Rolling Stones’ “2000 Man” for a KISS tribute album.
