We have lost a great man

Dear Editor:

This a deep, dark day for Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, the United States of America and the World. We have lost the most caring, honest and decent individual with the passing of the greatest Mayor in the history of Jersey City – the Honorable Glenn D. Cunningham.

Mayor Cunningham led a God filled life and paid attention to every human being that he came in contact with. He was blessed to have been educated in Jersey City and attained all of the aspirations in life. Never did a day go by that our blessed Mayor not help some individual – not those on the upper crest of life but those in need of caring and assistance.

I have been blessed and am proud to be counted over the many years to be a friend of Mayor Glenn D. Cunningham. I am blessed that I am associated with him in all areas of life. In his tribute, we should all endeavor to be kind to each other and sincerely care for all of our fellow human being.

Our hearts and prayers go out to Sandra Bolden Cunningham and the entire family. We are fortunate that we shared a path with Glenn, and I will forever walk on his path of doing right to all people. Every memory of him will be cherished and kept in our hearts forever. God Bless you, my Senator, my Mayor but most importantly my dear friend.

Respectfully,
Robert B. Knapp
