He’s the one

He’s the one who taught me everything.
…the one who always reminds me,
…the one who always tells me,
…the one who always pushes me.
He’s the one who taught me carpentry.
…how to hold a hammer,
…how to straighten and reuse bent nails.
He taught me electrical work,
“don’t be stingy with the electrical tape,” he always says.
It’s because of this thinking that we own numerous homes.
Why pay someone else if you can learn to do it yourself.
He came to this country from Argentina with $100 in his pocket. He left his mother, father, brother and sisters. He worked cleaning bedpans at a hospital. He met my mother, and that’s where it all began. They say, “behind all good men, there’s an amazing
woman”,well that’s true.
He said, “I’m going to buy you your first car and pay for your college, but you have to come home every night so that I can look into your eyes.”
He wanted to make sure we didn’t get involved with drugs.
He was extremely sad to hear that we would be moving away, but the first to say that the builder is doing a very good job.
His health is not that great now, but we know he’ll be OK because he’s the strongest man I know.
He’s the one, and I’m his right hand.
Thank you Poppy for always being there for us
