Dave Rudburg and Hiro Suzuki play the blues at Scotland Yard, 8 p.m. It’s open-mic night at Oddfellows Rest in Hoboken, hosted by Michael and Michelle, 8 p.m. P.J. Ryan’s in Jersey City has karaoke starting at 8:30 p.m.

Monday, June 21:

Canadian troubadour Ron Sexsmith plays Maxwell’s with Griffin House, 9 p.m., $10. It’s happy hour all night at Oddfellows in Hoboken and Jersey City. Rodeo-Ristra has poetry by Soce: The Elemental Wizard and music by Mark Gianotti at its Welcomed Words poetry open-mic night, 8 p.m.

Tuesday, June 22:

Continuing the Canadian invasion, Maxwell’s has Hayden, touring behind the new album Elk-Lake Serenade. Oddfellows in Jersey City has karaoke starting at 9 p.m., fueled by an all-night beer special. And it’s Ski Club Night at Willie McBride’s, starting at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, June 23:

AJ Azzarto and the Hoboken Four play the Goldhawk, 9 p.m. The Hoboken Cigar Club celebrates its second anniversary with a party at Liberty in Hoboken, starting at 7:30 p.m., admission $40. And it’s Swing Night at Willie McBride’s, starting at 7 p.m.

Thursday, June 24:

The Baja in Jersey City has salsa night with local band Sammy and his Group, starting at 9 p.m. Sorry – the Iron & Wine, Cass McCombs, and Langtry show at Maxwell’s is already sold out. The Whiskey Bar has Stoned Grace at 9 p.m., Jones at 10 p.m., and Silent Groove at 11 p.m.

Friday, June 25:

Jam band Hy80 plays Uncle Joe’s with Delicious and Chariot. Maxwell’s has The Pleased, Gerling, and The Shore, starting at 9:30, $8. Greg Aulden performs at the Baja in Jersey City starting at 6 p.m.

Saturday, June 26:

Antigone Rising, five New York women who rock, plays Maxwell’s at 10 p.m., $10 in advance, $12 day of show. Punk-influenced Iowa rockers All Rattle and Dust play Uncle Joe’s with King of Birds and Give Me Danger. The Shannon has Republic and Ton of Bricks.
