Dear Editor:
Let’s be truthful about John Kerry. John Kerry is a very bright person. He is street smart and book smart. Kerry is a real strong leader. On the other hand Bush is certainly not a learned person or a strong leader. We need a smart president to deal with the issues properly.
There are many issues that are important in this election. My main concern as a conservationist is our environment. Kerry understands the complexities of the environment. Kerry has an excellent environmental record in the US Senate. Kerry led and won the fight to stop the Bush plan to drill for oil in pristine areas in Alaska. Kerry wants to help our country develop alternative fuels such as wind, solar and geothermal. Kerry will also push the auto manufacturers to make more hybrid cars. Kerry will not suck up to oil despots such as the Saudi royal family. Kerry will make us less dependent on oil despots and focus on America becoming more self sufficient in energy production. It is time to change our leadership and progress on the environment and many other issues. That is why I enthusiastically support John Kerry for president.Thank you,
Neil Harrison Lori
