Dear Editor:
My letter regarding enforcing driving laws was printed in the May 8th edition. I believe that there is a grammatical error. The first sentence of the second paragraph should read: “…cell phone-abusive drivers…”, as my letter was written; not: “…cell phone abuse drivers…”, as it was printed in the paper. The noun – “drivers” – is modified by the adjective clause – “cell phone-abusers”.
It’s embarrassing to me that my friends and neighbors would think that I have been grammatically incorrect.
