PSE&G extends apology and appreciation

Dear Editor:

In the wake of the extended interruption of electric service to the residents and businesses of Journal Square and the Heights section of Jersey City on July 5th and 6th, please accept our apology for the conditions that you endured. PSE&G will investigate the cause of this incident, and will do all we can to ensure that we retain your confidence and achieve the high standards for safety and reliability that we have established.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to city and county officials and emergency personnel who enabled PSE&G to move through the restoration process safely: Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy, City Council President Mariano Vega, Journal Square Councilman Steve Lipski, Jersey City Councilman Bill Gaughan, Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise, Sheriff Joe Cassidy, Jersey City Police Chief Robert Troy and Police Director Samuel Jefferson, Jersey City Fire Chief Fredrick Eggers and Fire Director Armando Roman, the Hudson County OEM’s Jack Burns and Jim Woods, and the Jersey City OEM’s Aida Sanchez and Greg Kierce.
