More convenience stores, fewer condos!

Dear Editor:

When I moved to Hoboken 22 years ago things were easier. If you wanted some nice fresh sausage or chicken, you could run over to Cervelli’s on 4th Street or if you just had to have a nice cold beer, there was Columbus Liquors on 3rd and Madison Streets. Cervelli’s is now a condo and Columbus is a law office – like we need any more of both! We’ve lost Quick Chek and now Rite Aid, what’s next? All these ‘fat cat’ realtors and developers are the ones benefiting, not the average Hobokenite!
