Dear Editor:
I am writing to commend Dan Tatolli for his efforts to bring back the historic Clam Broth House to downtown Hoboken. For decades the Clam Broth House was a landmark in our town, and longtime Hoboken residents were deeply saddened when it was closed and the building housing it was demolished. Mr. Tatolli should be applauded for agreeing to bring the restaurant back and for building an historic Empire-style structure in which to house it.
The proposed plans for the new building are reminiscent of historic Hoboken buildings that were constructed during the turn of the 20th Century. The historic significance of both the building and the restaurant is immense, and this project should be applauded by all members of our community.
Sincerely,
Maritza Emanuelli
