NJ needs Jon Corzine as our governor

Dear Editor:

The State of New Jersey desperately needs Jon Corzine as the next governor of New Jersey. It is important to keep in mind that the last time New Jersey had a Republican governor the state budget went under millions of dollars. New Jersey was on the edge of bankruptcy. We all know the business experience that Jon Corzine brings to the governorship.

Today with the national inflation that our country is experiencing we can’t afford to continue to select individuals who will continue to mismanage while in representation. This gubernatorial election is extremely important to Hudson County. Numerous Hudson County cities depend on state and federal aid. Once Mr. Corzine becomes governor he will appoint Congressman Robert Menendez as U.S. Senator. We all know that Mr. Menendez will deliver with federal aid to all Hudson County and the rest of the state. The congressional seat that is now being held by Mr. Menendez will need a replacement, and it a fact that the congressional seat will go to either State Senator Bernard Kenny or Assemblyman Albio Sires.

With all these changes taking place it is safe to say that Union City Mayor and State Assemblyman will greatly benefit because the new leadership in Trenton recognizes Brian P. Stack as the new political star of all of Hudson County.

With respect,
Raul Marquez
