Intersection at 32nd Street has not improved!

Dear Editor:

Once again Union City public safety director Brian Stack has earned the mark of incomplete in reference to a serious issue of pedestrian safety in our community.

I’m referring to the intersection of 32nd Street and Kennedy Blvd., where in spite of so called improvements, the public is still not given an adequate amount of time to safely cross Kennedy Blvd., going from the east side to the west, before you reach the North Bergen side.

Vehicles making the left turn from 32nd Street Union City are allowed to pass through the intersection unchallenged.

Sadly Freeholder Tilo Rivas never heard of a turning red light which would hold up traffic long enough for even young to cross safely.

You would think that someone old enough to possess an AARP membership card would be more thoughtful to the residents of the senior citizen home including my aunt at this location.

We can only hope these folks go back to the drawing board and get this situation corrected as soon as possible.
