New Jersey is… What does ‘Come See for Yourself’ really mean?

Our state may have a brand-new slogan – “New Jersey: Come See for Yourself” – but longtime residents know that New Jersey has always been a wonderful place to explore.

New Jersey is the land of liberty, home of some of the biggest icons of American life. We’re within ferry distance of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, plus nearby Liberty State Park, one of the most-attended state parks in the entire country.

New Jersey is the home of Frank Sinatra, perhaps the greatest vocalist of all time. His hometown of Hoboken remembers and honors its favorite son with museums, spectacular parks, great restaurants and extensive memorabilia collections.

New Jersey is a sightseer’s dream, a place to admire scenic beauty as well as man-made grandeur. From a helicopter, hot-air balloon or biplane, one can get a bird’s-eye view of the rolling hills and forests of the Skylands Region, a tour up the pristine Jersey Coast, or an up-close look at the most-recognized skyline in the world.

New Jersey is a hip place to unwind, with countless artsy and fun coffeehouses. These places feature the state’s best live music, art, and unique design, and they make a great spot to grab a cup of java and dessert.

But if coffee isn’t enough, there are hundreds of excellent restaurants to be found no matter where you go in the Garden State.

Finally, New Jersey always has something going on, as our Calendar of Events and Attractions list can attest.

But don’t take our word for it… Come See for Yourself!
