Dear Editor: Assemblyman Louis Manzo has spent the last four years in Trenton working hard to cut your taxes.
He sponsored the SMART Bill for property tax reform. The Smart Bill is endorsed by the New Jersey Coalition for Property Tax Reform, the New Jersey Tenants Association, the New Jersey Education Association and elected officials representing 1.5 million middle-income people just like you.
Thousands of homeowners and tenants, many of which are AARP members, have signed petitions in support of this bill.
His proposed SMART Bill will reduce school property taxes 50 percent for homeowners and tenants.
The SMART Bill does not raise one penny in new taxes. Over 95 percent of homeowners and tenants in New Jersey would pay much less in combined property and income taxes with the SMART Bill.
You can read about the SMART Bill and calculate your tax savings on www.reformschooltax.com.
Mr. Manzo’s work in Trenton has cut government waste and gives homeowners a 20 percent property tax refund this year. He is an honest man and deserves your vote.
On June 5, vote for lower property taxes. Vote Column B. Louis Manzo for State Senate.
John A. Meyerle, Chairman
New Jersey Coalition for Property Tax Reform
