Spotlight shines brightly on State Senator Stack

Dear Editor:

As time goes on the political career of Brian P. Stack continues to grow in the right direction.

On January 8, 2008, Brian was sworn in as the new State Senator of the 33rd District. With given time Brian will become an effective, successful State Senator. Once Brian was elected State Senator, he immediately opened an office in West New York in order to be accessible to the people of WNY and the rest of the constituents he represents in the 33rd District.

In the last 40 years the City of Union City has had two other mayors that also were elected State Senator. In the 1970s the late William V. Musto became one of the most respected State Senators in the state house. Later on in the mid 80’s and today, US Senator Robert Menendez also from Union City became a State Senator where he also had an unblemished record. Today the spotlight belongs to Brian P. Stack who smoothly is the rising political star in Hudson County.

I’m happy to say that I greatly share this honor with Brian and his family because I have walked the streets supporting Brian, first for City Commissioner (1997); Mayor (2002, 2006) and State Assemblyman (2004, 2006).

Brian’s brilliant record as public servant is unparallel to other political figures. His dedication and hard work speaks for itself. Under his administration the City of Union City has been financially and socially sound. I’m proud to say that I live and work in Union City because here in this over-populated community everyone is treated with respect and equality.

Respectfully,
Oscar Cordero
