That old darn writer’s block
Beating against the clock.
It is past nine
Way past deadline.
We all know that feeling.
Ideas hit like a bomb while taking a shower.
Why can’t they come at a reasonable hour
When you can jot them down?
Whey they can then look sound.
And the basis of a theme
And not merely just a dream.
Oh that writer’s block
Beating against the clock
It is now half-past nine
And I can’t put down a line.
