JOHNSON, MILES ALEXANDER. Services for Miles Alexander Johnson, 15, native and lifelong resident of Jersey City, were held Oct. 2 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Jersey City. He died Sept. 26 at Hackensack University Medical Center. Miles was diagnosed with a brain tumor at a very young age. Part of a brain tumor was removed when he was 3, only to later progress. He once used a wheelchair, but later was able to walk and was a smiling presence until he died. Johnson was a recipient of the Bravest Kid Award, a gold medal for enduring cancer treatments. Survivors include his parents, Monique R. Johnson and Calvin L. Midd; two brothers, Omar Lorenzo Middleton and Calvin Lorenzo Middleton III; and two sisters, Sheerease Middleton and Ming Altheria Deas
