LECHMAN, GEORGE. Mass for George Lechman, 84, a native and lifelong resident of Jersey City, was held Sept. 27 at St. Mary Byzantine Church, Jersey City. He died Sept. 24 at Christ Hospital, Jersey City. Lechman was a cable twister machine operator for Western Electric, Kearny, for 25 years, retiring 25 years ago. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was also trustee and a longtime communicant of St. Mary Byzantine Church. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Rusnak) Lechman; a daughter, Mary Ann DiCorcia, and her husband Bill; a son, George, and his wife Barbara; 12 grandchildren, Patricia Woznick, Kris Lechman, Thanh Nguyen, Robert Nagle, Kathi Pinho, and Thoman, William, Jennifer, Angela, Mary Ellen, Suzanne and Carolyn DiCorcia; and 13 great-grandchildren.
