(formerly of Bayonne); on Thursday, September 4, 2008; father of Ellie Kern and husband Herb Mobile, and Judith Valente Reynard and husband the honorable Charles Reynard, Richard Valente and wife Barbara; grandfather of James Kern, Michael Kern, Nicole Roshto and Shane Valente; great-grandfather of Chivas, Casey and Charlie Kern; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
