A FAMILY OF LOCKSMITHS!!!… 3/15/09

It started in North Bergen, when David Creighton, a master locksmith who lives in Secaucus, began his family business in the township. After graduating from the New York School of Locksmithing 29 years ago, he has continued to seek out new coursework in the field of locksmith manufacturing companies, to update his proficiency and become adept in current technology for the safety of his customers and regular clientele.
Mr. Creighton is licensed by the state of New Jersey as a locksmith and became a locksmith in 1980, after he got out of the U.S. Navy.
He began working for the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken as a door mechanic, and he was put through locksmithing school by the institute. Striking out on his own afterward, David Creighton went into business for himself and opened up his own company, North Jersey Locksmith, in North Bergen.
In 1991, after suffering a back injury, he asked his brother Timothy to get into the business until he recovered his health, and his brother obliged. Before becoming a licensed locksmith himself, Timothy was a New York Central Park horse and carriage driver for five years, and decided the family business was the way to go as a profession. Timothy also took the necessary manufacturing coursework, in order to service and sell their products to the public. Furthermore, like his brother David, he became fully business-insured and bonded.
As David recovered, Timothy went out on his own and established his company called Accurate Locksmith in Jersey City and became a mobile locksmith, on call, 24/7, 365/366. And like his brother David, covers Hudson County, Essex, and Bergen Counties. Timothy provides emergency mobile service! Their mother Mildred lives in Jersey City, and their beloved father Robert is now deceased.
David is a member of the Reformed Church in America, the successor to the old Dutch Reformed Church with which Hudson County has a rich history. As for Timothy, he is a Born Again Christian and is a member of the New Durham Baptist Church in North Bergen. However, the family does not bring their religious ideas into their business matters, but rather their customers’ safety is their business creed!
Timothy has a stepson named Jonathan Santiago, who formerly worked for David, his uncle, and Timothy is proud that his stepson has now gone on to open his own locksmithing business in Downtown Jersey City at The Junction, called A. Thorough Locksmith. Like his stepfather and uncle, he has gone through all the necessary steps to get licensed and become an insured and bonded locksmith. Like his Uncle David, his shop is a stationery-locksmith shop. As for religion, Jonathan tells us that he is also a Born Again Christian, like his stepfather.
Timothy’s lovely wife’s name is Lydia, from Puerto Rico, and they have two other sons named Timothy Jr. and Matthew, and a grandson and granddaughter named Jonathan Jr. and Janelisse, whose loving father is Jonathan. Timothy also tells us that he and Lydia will be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary this September 2009!
As for Jonathan, his lovely wife’s name is Marilee, and they live in the West Bergen section of Jersey City. All locksmiths are members of the National Locksmith Association, and take their business of safety to the public very seriously. David also tells us that they had a sister Susan, now deceased, whose son Joel, is also a locksmith and works for his father Jose Ramos at their business called Action Locksmith in North Bergen. Moreover, all the family businesses network between one another for the sake of professionalism and cohesion. David also tells us that his website is NJLOCKSMITH.com for further information.
David tells us that the family’s shop-based operations all have showrooms, which also means always getting involved in current and special education, also in automotive high security key-production and duplication, and have to get new equipment to keep up with technology, to copy and produce high security keys! The world of locksmithing and the family that locksmiths together, stays together! To David, Timothy, Jonathan, Jose and Joel – All the best!!!…
