The Mount Carmel Lyceum of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church will celebrate its 89th annual Communion Breakfast on Sunday, March 29, with an 8:15 a.m. mass to be celebrated by Club Moderator Rev. Ernest Rush, according to Richard P. Dworzanski C.F.S.P., Chairman of this year’s event. Co-chairmen are Walter Kiczek and Andrew Pszonek. The members are requested to assembly at 7:45 a.m. at the Parish Center and will proceed in body to the church, escorted by the members of the Fourth Degree Color Guard of the Knights of Columbus, Star of the Sea Council No. 371. Following the mass, the membership will proceed directly to the Chandelier Restaurant, located at 54th Street and Broadway, for breakfast. The welcome address will be delivered by Club President Kerry Fryczynski, who will introduce Anthony Vetter, master of ceremonies, for the morning’s event. The invocation will be offered by Rev. Anthony Kulig, followed by a memorial prayer for those members who have gone to their reward within the past year. After breakfast, there will be the presentation of the Lt. Michael J. Rosciszewski Scholarship. The Lyceum has sponsored this scholarship since 1954. Closing remarks by Anthony Vetter will follow, and the event will end with the Benediction, given by Rev. Ernest Rush.
