Join me & vote for Tom Roarty for Secaucus BOE

Dear Editor:
I am writing today to encourage Secaucus residents to vote for Tom Roarty in the upcoming school board elections. Tom has been a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 68 for 25 years. He currently is employed at Gateway 2 in Newark New Jersey. Mr. Roarty has been endorsed by his local union, the New Jersey State AFL-CIO and the Hudson County Central Labor Council.
I believe he is uniquely qualified to serve as a Secaucus Board of Education member. He will bring a fresh perspective to the school board as he works to improve student performance and reduce excessive administrative spending. Additionally he will work to bring transparency to a board that consistently hides information from public scrutiny.
Tom and his wife Valerie are married 23 years and are graduates of Secaucus High School, class of ’78. Tom has been a youth baseball coach for 15 years and is a 48 year resident of Secaucus. Given the opportunity, Tom will be a tremendous asset as he tirelessly works for educational excellence in Secaucus.
On Tuesday, April 21, 2009 I urge you to vote for Tom Roarty. He will make a difference.

Sincerely,
Peter A. Busacca, President
Hudson County Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO
