Council meeting is theatre at its best

Dear Editor:
I urge all Secaucus residents to attend at least one town council meeting. You will see theatre at its best when citizens get to ask questions about their neighborhood, taxes, parking, cost of services, etc., etc. Sometimes the answers are informative, entertaining, but most certainly the will help you decide who to vote for in November.
Those who attend the meetings should go with an open mind and after listening (if the sound system is working that night) to the pros and cons to determine for themselves who is the party of deception, arrogance, half-truths, and distortion and who is the party of truth, honesty, and genuine consideration for the resident.
At the present time town council meetings are going to be televised but without remarks of citizens, in my opinion, the highlight of the meeting. Please attend one meeting and find out which person running for town council in November will allow your remarks to be televised. If they don’t want to be televised asking a question, then your answer should be to pull the lever for the council member who will.
Sincerely,
Ralph Merletto
