Dear Editor:
I overheard Councilman Michael Sottolano, on the campaign trail, say “We’ve done a lot of good things in the last four years. Here in Greenville, I want to finish the job!” I believe Mr. Sottolono deserves the opportunity to finish the job. He’s done an A + job as Councilman of Ward A and has always been an independendent thinker. He makes sound decisions because every one of those decisions comes from the heart. He is a lifelong Jersey City resident who attended Dickinson High School and St. Peters College. After living in Ward A for 41 years, very few people, if any, know the neighborhood better, certainly no kid young enough to be his child. Sottolano is largely responsible for creating Jersey City’s first Data Processing Center and was later promoted to Assistant Director of Information Technology. He is as smart as he is wise. Sottolano is a former Treasurer of the Jersey City Federal Credit Union; reason being, he can be trusted. For the same reason, to many, he is known as coach for years of dedication to serving our youth. As a full time Councilman the past four years, he has served thousand of constituent calls. His, almost forty years of government experience, is impressive as is his love for family and Ward A. Sottolano was even voted Greenville Man of the Year once. What I think is “I wanna be like Mike” should be Greenville Man of the Year for four more years. On June 9, let him finish the job!
