Funeral services were held May 13 for Irene Conrad (nee Esposito). She passed away May 6 at Christ Hospital, Jersey City, after a brief illness. Born in Italy, Irene came to this country as a young girl and resided in Jersey City most of her life. She retired in 2004 as Vice President of Commerce Helpmates Personnel Services located at 50 Journal Square, Jersey City, after 50 years of service. Irene was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church and a former member of the Jersey City Chamber of Commerce. She was predeceased by her husband Kurt Conrad and her son Chip Conrad; also by her sisters Gloria Esposito-Russo, Lilly Cooney and brothers Nicholas, Frank, Thomas, Joseph and Anthony Esposito. Irene is survived by a sister, Marie Whalen, of Texas and a brother, Christopher Esposito, of Calif.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
