Dear Editor:
Once again the pride of Jersey City waved its spectacular colors of distinctive achievement. Newsweek has announced in their June 8, 2009 publication, the top rated 1500 High Schools in the Nation. Dr. Ronald E. McNair Academic High School, Jersey City’s best and the brightest, ranked 85th in this most highly competitive educated field.
This outstanding tribute is not a unique situation; they have held these exceedingly exceptional intellectual standards for years, never relinquishing or diminishing their scholastic environment of excellence.
The Principle, Edward Slattery, Vice-Principal, Alice Barone, together with all the Teachers, Counselors, and Students including each and every employee associated with this remarkable educational institution should be highly commended for their well deserved outstanding honor. Congratulations to all on your admirable accomplishments. May the Good Lord bless and assist each and every one of you in all your endeavors.
