A funeral mass was offered June 25 at St. Augustine’s R.C. Church, Union City, for Hector Sanchez, 73. He passed away June 22 at Calvary Hospice, Bronx. Born in Matanzas, Cuba he came to the U.S. in 1955 and settled in Union City in 1971. Mr. Sanchez was a jeweler in New York. He is survived by his wife Marta (Gonzalez), his son Joseph and his companion Cynthia Black, and his grandchild Jayden Hector Sanchez. He is also survived by three brothers, Francisco, Pedro and Rigoberto, and four sisters Josefa, Lerida, Mirta and Minerva. Services arranged by the Morgado Funeral Home, Union City.
